Six observing projects (a total of 3.5 hours on the Spitzer Space Telescope) have been approved as part of the NASA Spitzer Space Telescope Observing Program for Students and Teachers .

The Spitzer Research Program for Teachers gives twelve teachers from all over the country the opportunity to acquire data with the Spitzer Space Telescope and work on the research and data analysis with Spitzer Scientists. The program is a collaboration with the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO) .
