Elena Scire originally hails from Sparks, Nevada. She has a BA in physics and astronomy and a minor in theater from Pomona College. After graduating she spent three years as a software tester living in Long Beach CA, and has been working at the Spitzer Science Center since 2007 on the Science User Support and Observatory Scheduling and Planning Teams. In her spare time she builds, paints (and sometimes designs) sets for Caltech’s theater arts program.
